How do I know if my iPhone4 is connected and using wifi?
How can you tell if the phone is using wifi vs 3g?

Next to Verizon you will either see "3G" or The wifi hotspot icon which looks like three backwards "u"s

That is the hugest iPhone screen ever! (42" HDTV/monitor @ 1080P... and it is still quite clear) I think you're onto something here! haha

Just go under Setting > Wifi and activate the Wifi and choose the name of your network and your iPhone will automatically connect to your Wifi connection even if it is connected to the 3G (4G) network, thus you just deactivate the cellular network if you would like to use just the Wifi
