Can I activate on office computer then sync with home computer?

I believe you need to hook it up to your iTunes account to activate.

I think if you do it with the work computer, you'd have to do a restore when you get home and re-sync with your home computer. But you should still be able to activate it.

No they do no have to do a restore. They can activate with the work computer and sync with the home computer.
