If you bought iPhone 4 on At&t, what is your next upgrade date?

Got mine late in December but very year for Christmas and my birthday I get a nice amount of gift cards that can cover the cost of a brand new iPhone so if the iPhone 5 (or whatever it's called) looks like a worthy upgrade then I'll just purchase it.

Does anyone know, if they move you to an earlier upgrade date can they turn around and push it back? I know they can't push it beyond your contract date but it would suck to get an earlier date but then find out they moved it back by the time the phone came out.

Theoretically, they could, but I've never heard of that happening on any carrier except Sprint.

I purchased my 4 in early July, about 2 weeks after the release. According to the text I got after dialing *639# I "may qualify on 12/24/2011" This is my 3rd iPhone and previously I've been I've been able to go from the 3g->3gs->4 for $199 on or close to the release date. If I really have to wait till next fricken December, it will be so long AT&T for good.

I bought my 16 gig iPhone 4 on 9/24/10 and AT&T says I am eligible for an upgrade on 2/12/12. Honestly, if the iPhone 5 is that much of an improvement (which I doubt it will be), I'll sell my 4 and get a 5.

I am eligible on 6/19/11. My wife upgraded to the iPhone 4 at the same time I did, but she is usually on a 2-year cycle. I am not sure she will be eligible when I am.

So I have a question. Right now, I'm the only one on my plan, and I got my iPhone 4 in late october, and I'm not eligible for a upgrade until 10/31/11. So if I add my dad on to the plan (he really wants my 3GS), can I just give him the 3GS, and use the upgrade for the i5 on his line but use the phone on my line? Sorry for the confusion, I pulled a all night-er.

I bought my iphone 4 the day it was released, and the text message they sent me said a full upgrade is not available at this time, but I may qualify on 02/25/2012. Whatever that means.
