I don't have microsoft outlook on my new computer so I wanted to know if there are any alternatives to microsoft outlook that is compatible with iTunes so I can sync it with my iPhone. I have thunderbird but I guess it's not compatible with iTunes because iTunes says that it "doesn't detect a calendar application" on my computer. Any help is appreciated.

try mozzilla sunbird or lightning which is a thunderbird plug-in(currently in beta)

I use google calendar. It syncs via cloud on your iPhone and you use the website on your computer. No need for iTunes.

I have already tried sunbird so I'll give Google calendar a try.

google calender works well. Pocket Informant syncs very nicely with google calendar and toodledo, and has a great looking interface.

I use google calendar set up as exchange works well
