Is there a way to discontinue names of people who text me from showing in preview?

Without jailbreaking, the only thing you an do is disable the preview itself. If the name is in your contacts, it will show up when you get the text alert.

delete the contact altogether, only the number will show, or rename the contact to a simple two digit number only you will recognize ?

I wish there was better text privacy without jailbreaking...seems so elementary...
