Why cannot I use a song from my music library as a ring tone.I am living in Ireland.Thanks Adrian

You have to make a ringtone or buy from iTunes. There is a program called iRinger that you can download to your computer to make 30 second tones. You can also download an app that will do it on your phone but if you go that route you have to sync when you make a ringtone.

any sound file you want to use has to be under 30 secs and be saved as an .M4R file do what Joker said and you shouldn't have any more issues
