Downloaded IOS4.2 software for ipod touch problems

My son downloaded IOS 4.2 beta 2 software for his itouch2g it then went into recovery mode and it is stuck there and can't restore. Does anybody have any ideas on how to either downgrade or complete the installation so I will have some peace

try restoring on an alternate computer. or making sure that you son got the 4.2 software from Apple directly. if he got it else where it probably didnt come with the updates his computer needed before upgrading to 4.2 such as the new SDK
