Not selling anything, just asking opinions..

I've got a mint condition 3GS 32GB, that, since box opening, was put inside an Otterbox Defender, which later was switched to the commuter series case.

For about 8 months or so I used it regularly, and due to proper care of the device, it still looks brand spankin' new.

I posted an ad on Craigslist to trade my 3GS for a 4+money - and have gotten to the point where a deal is imminent in that, we're meeting next week to make the trade. However, a friend advised me that I'm being ripped off.

I get: 1 month old iPhone 4, factory unlocked
He gets: 3GS + $380 + The Commuter case

Do you think I'm getting ripped off? both models are 32GB, and mine can be unlocked and if necessary, downgraded with sn0w, to 3.12 - 4.1

Definitely too much cash... or just unlock your 3gs and sell it and then put that 380 ans the 3gs money toward an iphone 4.

Meh, if everyone is happy, I'd say they both got the deal they wanted. And what does an unlocked iP4 start at in Canada? I think it's in the 650-700 range, and he basically traded a $300 phone + $300 + a case he couldn't use for it, and probably didn't have to do anything to his contract. It's not the deal of the century, but it sure could have been worse.
