Phone Lock Sound stopped working please help

My phone has stopped making the lock sound when I lock it now. It doesn't make the shutter sound when I take a pic either. Just stopped all of a sudden. I tried going into settings and turn off lock sounds and then turn it back on but it is still not working. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated?

Turn your phone off, and then turn it back on. It is something that happens to the iPhone from time to time. Also make sure that your volume is up. It may sound stupid but it is very easy to turn your volume all the way down if you turned the sound down for a game or something like that.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I've restarted a couple of times and the volume is up. It turns out none of my sounds are working for email or text either. Any other suggestions?

Nevermind....somehow it was on silent. Sorry for being such a bone head. Didn't even think to check that because I never use it. Sorry for the wasted thread
