activating iphone without supported sim, helpp plzzz!!!

so i bought an iphone 3gs off here and it was an AT&T but i live in canada, so i got the guy to unlock for me so i can use it on rogers.. phone was working fine then by accident i clicked restore and it got rid of the unlock and now im stuck in the itunes menu and it says unsupported sim and i cannot get passed the emergency call screen, is there anything i can do other than buying an at&t sim card off ebay and instead using some type of hack to bypass the screen?

yes to the latest... but i cannot get passed the emergency call screen because its not activated...thats what im asking, i think some of you read this wrong, i have no access to the OS

Even if you jailbreak, the new baseband is not yet unlockable so you're sol.
