How can I increase internet speed when not at home?

I have a 3gs iphone, when i'm at home my speed is ok with wifi, but when i'm at my lake house where there's no phone or cable just dish network, it's very slow. what can I do or what are my options? btw i've got a full signal as well

You don't really have many options. You either have good data speeds or not. 5 bars doesn't matter.

You can get a Microcell, but seeing as you have no phone or cable, that probably won't work for you.

As far as the phone is concerned. You can reset your network settings once you get to the lakehouse. Or get a signal booster. I'm not educated on those. I just know some work and some don't. Those are your only options.

I have a powerful signal cm62 signal booster. that really made a big difference in the signal increase but still didn't help the speed much

Is it 5 bars of EDGE or 3G? If its E or EDGE (same thing) then it will be horribly slow even with 5 bars.
