Can't keep icons out of first home screen

Anyone else having problems keeping the first homepage free of icons?

I used to keep all my icons and folders on the second and third pages and left my first page blank so I could see my wallpaper.
Recently, however, every time I respring, sync, reboot, or install a new app all the icons go back to the first page.

Any ideas how I can fix this without having to restore my iPhone 4?

You would have to put some blanks in there to keep it empty. There is a web app for that though, so you don't even need to jailbreak. There's some information here.

Yeah, I tried iBlank which does pretty much the same thing, but I can't get rid of the shadow under the blank icon even when I turn on the special winterboard plugin.

Edit: Never mind. I downloaded iBlank again and this time it worked.
