Best option for Movies?

Im boarding a plane to Cancun on Monday, and it's about a 4 hour flight with a layover. I ant to put a movie or two on my phone can someone tell me I know how to rip them but is it EASIER to rent one? Is that possible to do through Itunes? Do I need Wifi to play it or does it cache it locally?

You can rent a movie from your phone, but it will have to somehow get some signal to begin the buffering.

You will need third party software to rip a DVD. I don't know about renting as it's not something I've done through iTunes.

Probably too late but you should have been able to download it directly to your phone through iTunes (but you'll need WiFi). Once it's on your phone, it will play. There is no streaming of rented movies through iTunes that I know of. It's downloaded and the rental management is handled through the iOS.
