Is there a way to password protect a document or an app that would let me put some notes somewhere in the phone with a reasonable level of password protection? I do have the Passcode enabled on the phone, but was hoping there is a way to have a second level of security for some notes, passwords, etc. that I want to have available when I am traveling.

As I have both an iPhone4 and an iPad, the ideal solution would be something that would work on both types of hardware. Ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

You can use Doc Vault, it does exactly what you asked for.

It creates a separate area which is protected with an additional pass key (or dot lock security).
It allows to protect any type of file, included is a separate browser that allows to hide the history and it also comes with a tool to create pdf.

    Check it out here:

Apps such as ReaddleDocs & Dropbox offers password protection.
