With only 4 days to go before an Oz release of the iPhone 4, the major Australian carriers have released details of their plans :-

Telstra:Telstra First With iPhone 4 Pricing | Gizmodo Australia

Vodafone & Three:Vodafone And Three Have iPhone 4 Pricing Too! | Gizmodo Australia

Optus:Optus iPhone 4 Pricing Is All About The Data | Gizmodo Australia

Looks like Vodafone will give me a 32GB iPhone 4 for $59/month for 2 years. This has more data & more calls and text than my current plan, and the actual phone has double the storage I have at the moment for $30/month less than I'm paying now. Colour me stoked. :)

It seems more convoluted to offer "$400 worth of voice and text service" instead of just a set number of minutes per month.

Dno about the other telcos but these are optus' rates...

an SMS or MMS is free to anybody on any carrier within Australia on Optus iPhone Plans.. otherwise normally it's around 25c (SMS) and 50c (MMS)

Calls are around 85c/min but this scales depending on your plan, i.e. a $19 cap will pay 92c/min and a $79 cap will cost 78c/min
