Iphone 4 and dropped calls

I have been reading about the reception issues that some iphone 4 owners are having. I have the rubber band that apple says fixes the reception problem but my phone is still dropping about 80% of calls. I think my particular phone may be defective because I haven't heard of anyone having such a severe problem. What do you think? Also I live in a pretty big city so I know its not simply a question of my location having bad service.

If you are dropping 80% of your calls then I'd say you have a larger problem for sure!

Have you done a clean restore, not from a backup? Mine was doing that when I first got it, clean wipe, and bam. works good.

I have no issues whatsoever. Before you do a restore, try resetting all network settings on the iPhone.

I would definitely do whats listed try resetting network settings then try a restore then try going back to apple
