iPhone 4 upgrade question

hello! I currently own a 3GS and would like to get the new iPhone 4.

the only problem is that I am not eligible to upgrade till next may.

my grandma, who is NOT on my family plan, can upgrade and said I could use it. so can I order it online and use my grandmas line then just activate it on my line? or do I need to do something else.

Give AT&T a call on this one as they don't mind who has what phone. Just as long as there is a new 2yr agreement signed with each iPhone.
