Memory management with the iPhone 4.

I've noticed that the longer you keep apps running in that saved state the more memory they suck up. Thanks to "Free Memory" I realized this. They are running in the background if the the memory they use increases. apps I had running were Settings/TextNow/Tweetings/Free Memory/Beejiveim I had 46.25MB left.

Too bad the current free memory is handcuffed by Apple. It used to be where you could use the program to actually do what the title implies. I still have the original version that worked, but is now not usable in iOS4.

It's on the app store. The developer dropped the option to free memory.

They dropped it because they had to. It used to be I could control it at will, now I can't. Still works somewhat, but not like it used to. Either way, enjoy it.

I know why it was removed this thread just talks about apps running in the tray, sucking up more and more memory.
