Lost pictures after upgrading

I have a 3gs and have sync'd it several times and have all of my photos from a previous sync but when I upgraded to the 4.0 I found that my photo's from the previous sync are still there but none of the newer ones can be found. I did a backup and a sync before I restored so where did the pictures go? Please Help!

Try un syncing and re syncing your photos.

Thanks, I've tried that but for some reason there's pictures missing from the folder on my pc even. Where could they have gone? Now there's a new folder with numerous folders in it that are numbered but I cant open them to see what they are. They're labeled as iPod/iPhone cache. Any ideas or clues?

Hmm not really sure, if the pics were saved on your PC they should still be there.
