iPhone 4 wifi indicator - both signal & numeric?

Hi,

Since having my iPhone 4, I've noticed that my wifi signal indicator randomly changes between the signal/radar-type icon & a numeric value. Is this happening on anybody else's? Is there a way of keeping it as one or the other (I can't see anything in the settings)?

just push home button and the top right button at the same time just till you hear a shutter click =)

Yeah, all is working fine, just randomly flicks between the two icons when changing screen or App though.

I did have numeric wifi on my jailbroken 3G very briefly & my iPhone 4 is running off of a restore from the 3G on iOS4 - so possibly reminisce of that - some random bit of code stuck somewhere?!

Check out this link. Although it's talking about a 3Gs on AT&T, it looks to be the same thing you're talking about. Check out the last paragraph. That's the interesting part.

Yeah, that's what I assumed, as it came from a previously jailbroken 3G (3.1.3), which was then updated to iOS4 & then moved across to the iPhone 4.
