Default iPhone 4 usage statistics very very high

Hi guys, love the show, long time lurker, first time poster.

Got my iPhone 4 last night, got it up and going after some activation hiccups and a call to AT&T Business Support.

This afternoon, was playing around and looked at the usage numbers.
It lists my call time at 10 days, 19 hours.
It lists my Network Data at
    Sent 706 MB
    Received 9.4 GB

This is ridiculously high. How much quality control testing do they put these things through??

And second question, is this information imported/transferred from my old 3G???

Geeez! 9.4G! Seriously! I'm hoping that's transferred from your old iPhone. I'd check that out. That can't be right.

If you restored from a backup, most likely it is from that phone.

if you've never reset your data counter manually, those numbers are from the first iphone you ever had (given that it is on the same line)

Mine has 7.6GB received. so, I know it's got to be an accumulation of data from rarely resetting.
