missing apps after backup and restore from:

I just backed up my 3g and restored my i4 to that back up. After it was finished all my contacts, music, and everything else besides all of my apps even the paid ones were not on my i4. What went wrong? i did this process twice.

With your iPhone plugged in, go into your apps in iTunes and make sure they are checked to sync. You may have already done that, but it is commonly overlooked.

with the iphone that has the apps already?

No, plug in your new one. There should be an apps tab in itunes that allows you to check the apps for syncing.

when i check sync app a message comes up and states "all existing apps and their data on this iphone will be replaced with apps from this itunes library" There are about 15 apps out of 175 or so.

It will only sync the apps that are in iTunes...don't know what to tell you. You can re-download them for free.

i figured it out. i had to right click my iphones name and transfer purchase then i could sync them to the new iphone 4!
