iPhone 4 HD Video - aspect ratio question
I created a post a couple days ago for my blog trying to estimate how much space the new iPhone 4 video camera will take.
I based my original calculations on a 4:3 ratio based on 720 resolution given on the Apple iPhone 4 page. 4:3 ratio is the same ratio as the iPhone 3GS and same as the still pics from the iPhone 4 (check by looking at samples on the iPhone 4 info page).
So I figured a resolution of 960 x 720.
Others are saying that if Apple says 720 HD than it must be the true 1280 x 720.
Does anyone have any details on this? One way or the other?

Look at the video they showed off that was made on iPhone 4 and edited in iMovie.
Look at the iMovie interface and the video size it shows.
It's 16:9 1280x720.
There's no way Apple would do something as weird as 960x720. Also at that size you can't call it 720p, which they did. Steve actually said specifically "full 720p".

I went back to the keynote and I did see he said "full 720p" so that would seem to confirm 1280x720p, but I didn't catch where showed the video size?
Look at the final cut demo video though, it definitely looks like it's in full 720p 16:9
