"This accessory is not made to work with this iphone"

My iPhone keeps saying "This accessory is not made to work with this iphone" it never did that till a few days ago and can't use the ipod unless its in my speaker dock

& this is out of the dock and no volume slider so can't hear the music

I get this same message but only when using an iTrip. I always tap YES and the iTrip still works.

Just so I understand that you, get this message when you take your iPhone out of the dock? What happens when you tap YES?

I also get this when I plug my iPhone into my Alpine headunit in my car. It's basically just a message to warn you that you are using a plug that is not made by Apple so a kind of if your phone stops working we are not responsible kind of warning but it should affect functionality. Unless the thing was actually not made for you phone.
