This isn't a usual freeze, the iPhone is a 2G, 8GB, 3.1.3, Jailbroken/unlocked.
Everything seems to work, but when I slide the "Slide to Unlock", it opens but freezes, showing the menu dimming a little. The sound works, and when someone calls you're able to answer. What could the problem be?
You may ask any additional questions about the iPhone if necessary.
Also, I forgot to add, the issue was around on my previous firmware, which was 3.0, it was the same thing. I decided to upgrade to remove any software related issues which seem not possible. During the upgrade process, the screen turned white, I couldn't see the progress. Eventually it rebooted and the upgrading process was complete.
Could this be a hardware issue? Screen, battery? etc.
