Hello all, this will be my first post and I really hope someone can either help me or point me in the right direction. I have looked for hours for information on this topic and cant find any.
My problem is: I need to install a new power/headphone/vol/mute flex cable into my 3G 8GB, and the only ones on eBay dont have the end peices where the cable sticks on. Also they dont have a mute switch attached, (not the outer mute button), but the inner green switch. That switch seems to be "riveted" into place onto the supporting bracket.
I have the two pieces for the power button and volume up/down button, but I dont see how Im supposed to replace the mute switch since it looks riveted. Ive got a couple switches sitting here with broken flex cable attached and I thought I could use them but now am completely unsure on what to do.
