how to tell a 2g from a 3g?

I just bought a 3g but not sure if it is one.

Also, I ran blackra1n on it but it didnt jailbreak. I know more about iphones but not sure what can and can't be done on itouches as far as their firmwares etc.


I also tried redsn0w but nothing worked

oh, thanks! So I got a 2g....but its nice so I am still happy.

I still can't get anything to unlock it. Anyone experienced with that? Version 2.21 I believe
