Why some music wont transfer to Iphone??

I've got a 3G and i have iTunes set up so that i manually manage music and videos.
Yesterday i was adding music just by dragging and dropping from a windows folder into iTunes.
For the most part it worked but there are some that I just cant get on.
I drag them from the folder,my iphone appears-"Sync in Progress" but still nothing.
I even added the music into the iTunes library but it still wouldnt add from there wheen i try to drag it from the music part of iTunes to the iPhone part.

This is really wrecking my head.

Anyone have any suggestions?

maybe they are in *.wma, you can easily convert them with a third party audio converter.

? Don't .wma convert to m4a upon them being added to iTunes? I haven't had a .wma file in like 4 years, so I don't fully recall, but I'm fairly sure.

+1 to "What format are they?"

If they are .wma then select each and choose "convert to mp3". I believe that should solve your issue if this is the case.

This may sound wierd.., but I had some songs sync into my 3gs as ringtones. Though they were not ringtones.

oh ya.meant to say that.the folder I was dragging was wma but iTunes said asked to convert them,I clicked ok,iPhone says syncing but nothing still.

Have you checked to see that the files were, indeed, converted and now in iTunes?

can you play them in iTunes itself?
