Battery acid??

My Friend has a weird problem with his iPhone 3G. He noticed one day there was this weird substance almost like acid coming out of the bottom left corner of his phone. It made the chrome color of the phone turn green and rusty like. Also discolored his jeans where the phone had been! Has this happened to anyone else?? He told me and I didn't believe him until I saw it.

I've never heard of that happening. Did you check the forums at apple.com?

Better take the unit to the Apple store and complain. They certainly do not want anything serious getting out near the launch of the iPad.

Go to an Apple store now. Leave your job, birth-giving wife (lol maybe not), but wherever - that unit is probably having significant battery issues and is a health risk - get it away from your person (or your friends' person) ASAP.

He's had in for about 4-5 months. I told him he needs to get a hold of apple and replace it/or the battery. He hasn't done anything about it. I was just curious because I've never heard of this happening to anyone before.
