if i get a itouch can i still download all the apps that i would want on a iphone?

Yes, but some just won't work without a speaker and some are less convenient to use without cellular service...

No problem! Keep in mind though, most apps work fine using wifi and the speaker that comes with the headphones!

ok cause i have verizon and they are gettign better service then i had with att i just switch back in april of 09 wanted to keep the good coverage for the cell but we will see that why i though mayb if i just got the ipod touch it would be good enough and then i could still have my verizon service

Well there is music that you can download from iTunes this is a site that you can find all kinds of music to put on your iPhone and iPod touch. When you download songs and put them on your phone you can take them anywhere and listen to them.
