Bought a 3gs from somebody and they said they reset or restored it to remove their info and now it has been stuck on the apple logo and at times the loading symbol since I bought it which was Saturday night. I bought it to upgrade from my 3g and to get it unlocked/jb but don't know what to do now. Any help or suggestions? I held down the power button and the home for about 15 seconds and that didn't help. I don't think my first thread went through but, if this came up twice I apologize.

Hold down the home and power buttons together until the screen goes dark and the apple logo comes back, then let go of power button and continue to hold the home button down until you get the iTunes logo
plug into iTunes, it will tell you that you ate in DFU mode and you have to restore.
