Settings for sending AOL mail

I have a free AOL account. The address is @companyname.com. I can receive mail on the AOL server, but cannot find settings for sending mail. I have a 3G with 3.0 OS. The smtp seting tries to send as companyname.com.aol.com. I cant seem to find a way to delete the aol.com part. I have contacted AOL and Iphone. They refer me to each other. Any help would be appreciated.

How do you have an aol account that's not @aol.com?
