Outlook and IPhone email not the same

When I check my email on the Iphone it isn't always on my Outlook email. Also if on Outlook not always on Iphone. Going nuts.

Before you go nuts, are you using a pop3 account? An IMAP account? An Exchange server? These things are important.

I am using a pop3. gmail

use imap. using pop3 is your problem

imap synchronizes to the server whereas pop3 downloads it to that device and removes it from the server. thus you end up with different emails in each location
