Can't get my iphone to work - please help!!

I have recently bought a new iphone 3gs unlocked jailbroken 3.1.2 When i turn the phone on, it comes up with a USB wire and an arrow pointing to an i-tunes disc and will not let me turn the phone either on or off. I presumed this indicated for me to connect my iphone to my itunes via the usb port, however I have tried this and I get an error message on my itunes saying "an ipod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the ipod, then try again, an unknown error occurred (1619)" I get this every single time i try to connect my iphone to my itunes and it is getting quite fustrating that I cannot use my brand new iphone! - any ideas?? Try downloading blackra1n and running it while the iPhone is turned on, and connected to your computer.
