If you are unable to send mail, that may have something to do with your outgoing mail server, also known as SMTP server. Generally the settings will look something like this:
Host Name: smtp.yourcompany.com
The user name and password are left blank on my company's outgoing POP mail settings however it could be different for your company's email. Also, if you use a strong password e.g. akw#12!, you may need to turn SSL on.
If this doesn't work and you know who your company's email provider is, the might have a tech support page with how-to guides. Hope this helps.
