Wireless syncing?

Is there a way to sync my iPhone wirelessly without a wireless network setup? In other words, can I enable wifi simply through a wireless adapter and my iPhone? Is that a stupid question?

I'm not sure if I get your question but I'll attempt to answer what I think you are asking. You can't sync wirelessly, it has to be done via the USB cable to iTunes. If your phone is not JB you can't transfer files via Wifi. Wifi is for internet access, email, App Store, etc.

OK then there's the possibility of getting into your file system via SSH but beyond that I don't dabble in that stuff so I'm sure someone else will answer your question. I've heard of other sync apps but not up to snuff on it.
