Tethering with PdaNet questions

1. Should I tether with pdanet or should I try to find the real tether without an app?

2. Like, do you think PdaNet slows it down, or uses pdanets network?
I have pdanet for iphone 3.1.2 and windows XP.

3. Is their anything better than pdanet for windows xp?

4. Can I install a profile and use iPhone tethering from the settings on iPhone instead of pdanet?

Like, my concern is. I test speed on my iPhone. I get about 1364 kbits/s download. But when I use PdaNet, I get only about 110 kb/s.
Whenever using pdanet, it's slow. Why is that?
Should I just find a profile or a carrier settings file, and use the real tethering?
I would like to do that ^^
So, does anyone know where to find it?

I use PdaNet on my 3gs on 3.1.2 w/ Vista with no issues in relation to being slow. I was watching a movie while it was downloading with no lag issues.

Never used PDA net on an iPhone but if you use Bluetooth it will probably suck at speed.

MyWi alternative

PDAnet works well, but if you have JB'd, I like MyWi even better.
