Loading Drivers EVERY time

EVERY time I connect my iPhone to my computer it loads the drivers for it, which takes about 5 minutes. Until then my phone charges, but does not show up in iTunes. It is terrible. Why does my computer not save the drivers? Do I have some setting wrong? In case you couldn't guess, I'm on Vista.... Any ideas?

This usually happens when I driver wasn't installed right. Try uninstalling iTunes, then reinstalling it completely. If that doesn't work, you'll have to go through the device manager and see what driver Vista is using when the iPhone connects, and you may have to uninstall that one and reinstall the proper one ( usbappl.sys I think ). I had a similar problem not too long ago ( but on XP )
