IPhone songs do not show up on iPod app

So yesterday I synced most of my songs to my iPhone and when I went to go listen to them ther were not there? So I went to the about section in settings and it said that I had 0 songs but the memory was taken up by music when I looked on iTunes?
Restoring really isent a option right now so please help!

Restoring may be your only option. And a restore to new phone as well.

Have you tried removed all the music via iTunes, resetting the device and then syncing it back over?
