Download help

Hi everyone this is my first post (longtime lurker). I have a jailbroken Iphone 3g on 3.01. The proble I am having is there are some apps I have tried to download through Cydia that say they are loaded but they dont show on my phone, I have even tried to buy them through itunes, the down load fine on to my pc but not the phone even though when I go into the phones settings it says they are there. I had these apps a few weeks ago but my phone crashed and when I rejail broke the phone I could not get them back. I hope this makes sence(sorry cant spell) thank you very much for reading.
