Sharing apps?

I read on a blog about a guy who bought an app and was able to put it on his wifes iPhone as well without paying twice. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm actually going to look into this in the next couple weeks for my blog, but I think basically if you authorize a second computer that "the wife" syncs to you can share the app.
