New IPhone

Hello All. I am new here. I just got my first iphone 3gs yesterday and I am trying to put my ringtones from my computer onto my iphone and I'm really lost. How do I do this?

i took my mp3 files and used iRinger (free download) to convert them to m4r or my iPhone. then just sync them via iTunes. iRinger makes editing a 1-30 second clip a breeze!

there's also something called Audacity which lets you tweek the sound levels of songs to make them louder. but i've never used it.
