Applications Shaking with 3GS

I am new to this but don't know what I did to make my application to shake and they all had X like to delete which I did because I did not want that application on my phone. Can someone tell me what to do to make those applications to shake again

Put your finger on the app you want to delete and keep it there all apps will begin to shake and those that can be deleted will have an x in the corner.Press the home button to stop the apps shaking
