Smile Can you edit iPhone "Notes" on desktop?

I know when I sync my iPhone Notes with my desktop iTunes, the content in Notes is being backup. But I don't know if you can actually open the note on your computer and edit it right from there. Does anyone know?

what ive always wondered is why does the notes have to sync with mail? both macs and pcs have capable notepad programs that are basic enough for the iphone (ie not word processor strength) why cant you just open a note file, edit/create, and then sync it to the iphone?

On my PC I sync the notes with Outlook and it works great. Would be nicer if I didn't have to sync with the computer and it synced with Exchange activesync like my email, cal, and contacts.

Dunno if you're familiar with Awesome Notes, but the update just showed up in iTunes, and it now syncs with Google Docs. That is an amazing option!
