In the last day or so...

I've had several pop ups come up on my screen informing me that my iPhone was not meant to work with this device, would you like to enable airplane mode?

Now, it's not plugged into anything when they appear... nor has it ever been plugged into anything other than my dock connected to my computer to either recharge it or sync... or both.

My iPhone is a jailbroken 2G, running OS 3.0 and other than Cydia, I've pretty much left it alone. A few apps here and there from the app store, but that's about it. Any idea what's causing this?

Maybe try soft resetting the device.

have you tried resetting the device?
if that doesn't work have you tried restoring it from backup?

Sorry I haven't checked back to see if there were any replies lately, I've been getting overtime nearly every night over the last two weeks. I have not reset it or restored the phone, but it hasn't persisted, either.

I think it came from plugging it into an older iPod classic 3rd gen sync cable I have here, and it does work to sync to my computer, but it won't charge from it. I haven't used it since, and no pop up's either...
