New Yorkers: Help me out!!

So, I have been DYING to make the switch from a Blackberry to an iPhone, and after putting up with enough B.S. from the BB Storm, I am ready, except that I am really worried about the switch from Verizon to AT&T. I had Cingular a few years back and the service was mediocre at best, and my Verizon service is excellent. I am hoping to NY iPhone people could give me an idea of how good or bad the reception is and the occurrence of dropped calls, etc.

FYI, I live in and work in Manhattan (since a borough may make a differnce in the signal.....)
