Voice Control with Bluetooth

I have a Motorola H270 Bluetooth earpiece. When I push the button on the earpiece to do the voice control the phone redials the last number that I called. Is there any way to use this earpiece and have the voice control let me tell the name to call?

wait for software 3.1 then you can do it. provided you have the 3gs of course.

I'm a noob, but, seems to me the headset is picking up voice commands after it is activated on the phone itself. I'm only basing this on having my headset on in my vehicle with window open and radio on I get much better results than no headset.
