    I'm getting a failure when trying to send texts or reply to text messages.
    Any idea what the problem is?

    The senders name is appearing so number can't be incorrect in my address book. Is there a setting I'm missing?

    Number was only ported from Vodafone to O2 today, if that means anything?

    Phone calls are fine (except issue with Bluetooth)

    Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    When porting a number from another carrier it may take a while before you are able to send and receive text messages. Give it some time and if it still is not working in a few hours give your carrier a call.

    The port was much earlier today, maybe 12pm? I've rebooted and reset the phone since then and checked the settings (they appear correct)

    I'm guessing it's nothing serious and if still not working by tomorrow lunch time I'll go to my O2 shop and get someone to look at it. It's so annoying though!

    Like I said, give it more time. That is common when porting your number...

    hey bro, this problem can be resolved with a simple update profile:

    so:

    go to the phone icon.
    and type in ##873283# and call.
    your going to get a little that says starting service update.
    press ok and than the update is going to be completed
    and issue resolved.
