    Default 3Gs Email and notifications

I have some questions for current users please, I had iphone a year ago and had to leave it for the following reasons.

    1. Are non jailbreak iphones able to change notification sounds for email yet?
    2. When the phone is sleeping does it notify you of emails?
    3. Does it have repeat notifications?
    4. If you can change the sound, can you have a different sound for each mailbox?
    5. Can you save your email locally on the phone? (IMAP)
    6. If so can you save the emails in different subfolders on the phone?
    7. If the default application can not, is there a 3rd party app (email) that will do this?

    Thanks very much

    1. No
    2. Yes, but not if you power it off
    3. For SMS only
    4. No because of no
    5. It keeps 50 or so cached locally in IMAP and you pull pull more by tapping. You can also search for email on the server via 3.0
    6. If you have additional folders, you can move them, but IMAP will reflect this on the server as well.
    7. ?

    Hope this helps!

I assume that all these features are available if jailbroken?
