So I have an FM Transmitter in my car and a dock on my surround sound that both come up with a 'warning' that it's not a supported accessory for iPhone...is this a problem? Should I not plug them in? I thought Apple was making iPhone to be supported on more accessories?

I have an iPhone 3G specific FM transmitter and whenever I hit a bump it pops up the "not supported" dialog. Still works fine. I think if the dock isn't plugged in perfectly, iPhone senses something wrong and complains, and not all FM transmitters have secure dock connections.

My experience, at least...

All it means is that the device may not be properly shielded from interference from the iPhone's radios. You may hear the "GSM noise" coming through the speakers while using it but it won't damage the iPhone.
